Lab Helpers wanted

Kid inventors

Got a toy idea that does not exist? Describe it, or build it in the Imaginator and press "I love it!" A grown-up sends it in.

If the Lab turns your idea into a real product for the shop or the stall, you get: the first print free, your first name and your idea in Lab Notes (only after your parent or guardian gives verifiable consent, checked by Dad), and eternal Lab glory. Your idea stays yours; the specific model the Lab builds from it belongs to the Lab, as the licenses page explains.

Market-day helpers

Stall days will be the best days: tables, my crew, and a printer running live. Kid helpers (with their own grown-up nearby) will help demo toys, show off the crew, and hand out mini keychains. Payment is the classic Lab package: minis and snacks.

Grown-up helpers are welcome too, especially for setup and teardown muscle.

Grown-up mentors

Are you an engineer, designer, toy person, shop owner or maker who reads this site and thinks "I have one piece of advice that would save this kid a month"? Send it. Dad reads everything with me, and the best advice ends up changing real toys.

Shops and markets

Run a shop, a market or a fair and want the Lab's toys on your table? Not yet, honestly. Texas Toy Lab is a registered CPSC Small Batch Manufacturer. Children's Product Certificate work is underway; none is finished yet. Wholesale and consignment open one toy at a time, as each certificate is done and only for designs whose licenses allow it. Email joseph@texastoylab.com with where you sell and Dad will tell you exactly where things stand.
