Questions grown-ups ask

The ten I hear most at the stall, answered straight. Order trouble? The Help Desk is faster.

What ages are your toys for?

Ages 3 and up, always. Every toy has small parts (or can break into them) so they are never for under-3s or for mouths. The safety page has the full grown-up version. Texas Toy Lab is a registered CPSC Small Batch Manufacturer. Each toy's Children's Product Certificate has been assessed and is pending, and no toy is sold online until its certificate is done.

Can I get my name as a keychain?

Yes! The Personalized Name Keychain: type a name and I print it as a one-piece keychain with the letters raised on it, ring included. Not orderable online yet. Find it at the next market, or tell me and I will hold one for you. Want the fancier bendy version instead? The Imaginator's name plaque prints every letter as its own piece joined by a print-in-place ball joint, so the whole name wiggles. You also pick the size and paint the letters yourself before you send it to me to print. Either way: use a first name or nickname only, never a full name.

Can I get a toy that does not exist yet?

Yes! That is the whole point of the Imaginator: describe any toy (or say it out loud), watch the Lab draw it in 3D in about a minute, pick colors, and send it to my print line. Designing a toy is free; printing it is the paid step, and a grown-up approves the exact revision before anything prints.

How fast is shipping?

I print and pack in 1–3 days, then US shipping takes about 3–6 days. Flat $4.95. Ordering a custom Imaginator toy adds a little print time, and December is busy, so order early.

What are the toys made of?

PLA and PETG. The PLA is a plant-based plastic, printed on our Bambu Lab printers. Material safety sheets for every filament are on the safety page.

Can I return a toy?

Unused toys: 30 days, sure. Defects: I replace within 14 days, no drama. The Oops Shelf and Genuine Printer Poop are final sale, which I think you will agree makes sense. Details in the terms.

Do you really print everything yourselves?

Yes. A small farm of Bambu Lab printers, one house, zero warehouses. You can watch a printer running live at my market stall, and 3D Printing 101 explains how the whole thing works.

Where can I meet you in person?

At Kids Market events around Austin. The homepage's Visit section has the next date, and all markets has the full schedule and map. New friends of the Lab get a free mini keychain at the table.

Do you do party packs or classroom orders?

Yes! The Party Pack is 10 of my mini creatures for $40, goodie-bag ready. Not orderable online yet. Find it at the next market, or tell me and I will hold one for you. Bigger than that, email joseph@texastoylab.com and Dad and I will quote it.

What is the referral deal?

Send a friend with code FRIEND10 (10% off their first order). They name you in the order notes, and you get your own 10%-off code for your next order. Full rules on the Support the Lab page.

Can my market, fair or shop sell your toys?

The wholesale and consignment program is being built properly, toy by toy, as each one passes its safety testing. The wholesale page has where things stand and how to get in touch.
