Welcome to Texas Toy Lab! This website and shop are operated by Crabtree Ventures LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as Texas Toy Lab ("Texas Toy Lab", "we", "us"), Texas State Entity ID 806761598. Joseph picks, prints and tests the toys (most are licensed from independent designers and credited on each toy's page; designs of his own are in the queue); his parents run the business side and handle every sale. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

1. Who can order

Orders must be placed by an adult (18+). Kids: show a grown-up what you want and let them do the checkout part!

2. Products and orders

• Toys are printed in small batches. The Lab's own toys are orderable online. If a particular toy is not, its page says so, and until then you can find it at the next market or tell us and Joseph will hold one for you. Colors and small details can vary from photos and pictures, and no two prints are exactly alike. That is part of the charm.
• Prices are in US dollars. Payment and checkout are handled securely by Shopify. We never see or store your card details.
• We ship within the United States only. Once a toy is orderable, printing takes 1 to 3 days after you order; we will email you if it will take longer.
• Shipping: flat $4.95 US shipping, free on orders over $35. Once printed, US shipping takes 3 to 6 days.
• We may decline or refund any order, for example if an item cannot be printed safely.

3. Returns and problems

• If a toy arrives broken or has a defect, email joseph@texastoylab.com within 14 days with a photo and we will replace it or refund you.
• Unused standard toys may be returned within 30 days of delivery; return shipping is on you, and refunds cover the toy price.
• Final sale items: final-sale items are marked on their page, are sold as-is and cannot be returned. Mystery items are a surprise on purpose; the surprise is not a defect.
• Custom parts are non-returnable once printed, except for defects in making them.

4. Custom parts and the Imaginator

• Designing a toy in the Imaginator is free; printing is the paid step. The price of a print is shown at the build step, before any payment, and a grown-up approves the exact revision before anything prints. Bendy (flexi) toys are preview-only for now.
• Prices and details from the Imaginator's custom-part quotes are automated estimates only. Nothing is agreed until a grown-up at the Lab confirms it by email or text and you accept it.
• By emailing us a photo, sketch or design for a custom part, you promise you have the right to share it and to have it made. We will not print weapons or weapon look-alikes, items that infringe someone else's designs or trademarks, or anything unsafe.
• Custom parts are hobby-grade printed plastic. They are not certified for safety-critical, load-bearing, medical, food-contact or electrical uses.

5. Robot helpers (AI)

The Imaginator and the Reachy chat are powered by AI. They try hard but can make mistakes. Anything important (prices, dates, safety, order questions) is only final when a grown-up confirms it by email or text. Anything new, and anything with money in it, gets its own yes from a grown-up. A short list of routine things (social posts from the approved queue, routine inbox replies, market reminders, routine texts) goes out under standing rules after a pull window: fifteen minutes, five for texts.

Text messages. The Lab's text line is (512) 399-2625. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to stop, START to restart and HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. A text to the line gets an automatic acknowledgement; routine replies are drafted by the Lab's software from the facts on this site and go out after a five-minute window in which a grown-up can pull them; anything unusual, and every voicemail, waits for a grown-up. Text MARKET for one reminder before each market. Details are in the privacy notes.

6. Toy safety, risk and what you agree to

All our toys are age-graded 3 and up, except the Dragon Snap Kit (coming, ages 6+). Please read the Toy Safety page before buying for young children; it is part of these terms.

Your side of the deal. When you buy a toy, you (or the child's parent or guardian) agree to: follow the age grading and every warning on the listing, the packaging and the Toy Safety page; keep an eye on young children while they play; check toys before play and take away any damaged toy; and never let toys be chewed, used with food, worn around the neck, or given to children under 3.

Broken toys and risk. 3D printed toys are plastic built in layers. Dropped, bent too far or treated roughly, they can crack, and a broken piece can be sharp or small enough to choke on. That is how the product is, and by buying you accept it. As far as Texas law allows, you take on those risks yourself, and you agree not to bring a claim against Texas Toy Lab, its owners or their family for harm that comes from misuse, from ignoring the age grading or warnings, from not supervising, from using a toy after it was (or should have been) found damaged, or from changing a toy after you bought it.

If you pass toys on. Party favors, classroom prizes, your own stall: if you give our toys to others, pass along the age grading and warnings too. If a claim comes because you did not, that claim is yours to answer, not ours.

Nothing here limits liability that Texas or federal law says cannot be limited, like gross negligence or willful misconduct, and nothing here takes away rights that consumer protection law gives you.

7. Our designs, trademarks and copyright

The TEXAS TOY LAB name, THE IMAGINATOR name (our AI toy maker), the robot logo, the "always printing" tagline, the slogan "You imagine it, my Lab builds it" and our polaroid look are trademarks of Crabtree Ventures LLC (dba Texas Toy Lab).

Everything on this website, including the words, photos, illustrations, page designs and our original toy designs, is © Crabtree Ventures LLC (dba Texas Toy Lab) and protected by copyright. Please do not copy, imitate or sell any of it. (Playing with the toys you bought is what they are for!)

Other people's trademarks. Names and logos of other companies that appear on this site belong to their owners: Bambu Lab (our printers), Shopify (our checkout), Kids Market (the markets we book), Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook and LinkedIn (where we post), Anthropic (a backup brain for our chat robot), and local shops we mention by name.

We use these names only to describe true facts, like which printer we own or where our stall will be. None of these companies sponsors or endorses Texas Toy Lab, and we do not speak for them.

If you think something here infringes your rights, email joseph@texastoylab.com with a link to the material and a description of your claim, and a grown-up will look into it promptly.

8. The legal part

The website and everything we sell come as they are. As far as Texas law allows, we make no promises beyond the ones written here (lawyers call the unwritten ones implied warranties), and if something goes wrong, the most we owe you for any claim is what you paid us for the item involved. Nothing here takes away rights that consumer law gives you and does not let us limit. Texas law governs these terms, and any dispute goes to the courts of Travis County, Texas.
