Welcome to Texas Toy Lab! This website and shop are operated by the Crabtree family ("Texas Toy Lab", "we", "us"), a business registered in the State of Texas, State Entity ID 806761598. Joseph invents the toys; his parents run the business side and handle every sale. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

1. Who can order

Orders must be placed by an adult (18+). Kids: show a grown-up what you want and let them do the checkout part!

2. Products and orders

Our toys are made to order in small batches. Colors and small details can vary from photos and pictures, and no two prints are exactly alike. That is part of the charm.
Prices are in US dollars. Payment and checkout are handled securely by Shopify. We never see or store your card details.
We currently ship within the United States only. Made-to-order items usually ship within about one week; we will email you if it will take longer.
We may decline or refund any order, for example if an item cannot be printed safely.

3. Returns and problems

If a toy arrives broken or has a defect, email joseph@texastoylab.com within 14 days with a photo and we will replace it or refund you.
Unused standard toys may be returned within 30 days of delivery; return shipping is on you, and refunds cover the toy price.
Final sale items: The Oops Shelf (blemished toys) and Genuine Printer Poop are sold as-is and cannot be returned. Mystery items are a surprise on purpose; the surprise is not a defect.
Custom parts are non-returnable once printed, except for defects in making them.

4. Custom parts and the Part-O-Matic

Prices and details from the Part-O-Matic are automated estimates only. Nothing is agreed until we confirm a quote by email and you accept it.
By sending us a photo, sketch or design, you promise you have the right to share it and to have it made. We will not print weapons or weapon look-alikes, items that infringe someone else's designs or trademarks, or anything unsafe.
Custom parts are hobby-grade printed plastic. They are not certified for safety-critical, load-bearing, medical, food-contact or electrical uses.

5. Robot helpers (AI)

The Part-O-Matic and the TTL Robot chat are powered by AI. They try hard but can make mistakes. Anything important (prices, dates, safety, order questions) is only final when a human confirms it by email.

6. Toy safety

Our toys are for ages 3 and up. Please read the Toy Safety page, including the choking hazard warning, before buying for young children.

7. Our designs

The Texas Toy Lab name, robot logo, website and original toy designs belong to us. Please do not copy or sell them. (Making things for your own family fun is what the toys are for!)

8. The legal part

The website and products are provided "as is". To the fullest extent Texas law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the item involved. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and does not allow to be limited. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and disputes belong in the courts of Travis County, Texas.
