Texas Toy Lab wants texastoylab.com to work for everyone, including visitors using screen readers, keyboards, or who prefer things a little quieter. Here is where we stand and what we promise.
What we have built in
Calm mode: a switch in the footer pauses every animation on the site, for anyone who finds motion distracting. Your choice is remembered.
Reduced motion respected: if your device asks for less motion, our animations stand still automatically.
Contrast and text: we check color contrast against WCAG guidance and keep text real text, not pictures of text.
Keyboard and screen readers: interactive things are focusable, images carry descriptions, forms have labels, and our drawings include spoken descriptions of what they show.
Touch targets: buttons are sized for real fingers, including small ones.
Where we are honest about limits
This site is hand-built and heavily illustrated, and we are a kid and his dad, not an accessibility firm. Some decorative scenes are complex, and we may miss things. We aim for WCAG 2.1 AA as our guide and fix reported problems fast.
